Service & Repair Information

REPAIRS
We invite you to call our Service Department for remote diagnosis and advice prior to sending the equipment in for repair. This may save you time and expense in shipping and returns. For your convenience, we've established standard repair prices for many of most common repairs.

To help us determine the correct part for your Manfrotto Distribution distributed equipment (Manfrotto, Gitzo, Metz, Gossen, Elinchrom, Lastolite and Rotatrim), please call the parts department at (201) 818-9500 Ext-244, or email parts@manfrottodistribution.us We'll help you find the correct spare or replacement part(s), take your order, and start it on its way.

STANDARD REPAIR PRICING
Standard Repair Pricing applies to equipment, which is not providing satisfactory results and requires disassembly, repair and/or parts replacement, to restore the equipment to good working order within factory specifications. Charges shown in the repair price schedule cover all standard repairs.

Manfrotto Distribution has established standard repair prices for many Manfrotto, Gitzo, Metz and Gossen items.

This is to let you know ahead of time, how much your repair will cost. Of course there are exceptions, but we will always ask for your approval should the price be higher. By letting you approve the estimate in advance, we can reduce the time it takes to get the repaired equipment back in your hands.

Standard prices apply only to recent products which have not been abused, have been impacted or have water or sand damage. Select from the following Brands for Standard Repair estimates.

For tripod kits, use the item number for the damaged part (head or legs), if both the standard cost will be the total of both.
Please note: Standard Pricing does not include shipping and applicable taxes.

REPAIR CATEGORY DEFINITIONS
STANDARD REPAIR: Applies to equipment, which is not providing satisfactory results and requires disassembly, repair and/or parts replacement, to restore the equipment to good working order within factory specifications. Charges shown in the repair price schedule cover all standard repairs.

OVERHAUL: Applies to equipment, which requires a major overhaul to restore it to good order because of age, misuse, abuse, water damage, or tampering. Overhaul charges will be estimated for approval before any work is done.

NEW-FOR-OLD TRADE-IN PROGRAM
In the event that the cost of repair for parts and labor is judged by you to be uneconomical or which exceeds 40% of the list price of a new, similar product, Manfrotto Distribution will accept the damaged product in exchange for a goodwill credit for substantial savings of a new replacement. Replacement item may be same item (if available), equivalent product, or trade-up in same category. This will require written acceptance by you prior to proceeding.

Trade-in is not available on items that have been discontinued for more than 5 years. No replacement item will be shipped until Manfrotto Distribution has possession of the trade-in item. Trade-in items become the property of Manfrotto Distribution and will not be returned. For suggested models and pricing see the standard repair pricing for the brand.

WARRANTY REPAIRS
Warranty repairs should be accompanied by a copy of the sales receipt or proof of purchase. The items will be evaluated, repaired under warranty and returned at no charge. Merchandise not covered under warranty will be evaluated and an estimate will be provided prior to proceeding with a repair.

Equipment repaired is warranted for a period of three months from the date of repair, or the balance of the new equipment warranty, whichever is longer.

TURNAROUND TIME & RUSH REPAIRS
Manfrotto Distribution is committed to an 8 working day turn around on repairs from date of receipt for warranty repairs and date of estimate acceptance on non-warranty repairs.

A 48 hour [2 business day] rush repair is available at an additional charge of $30.00. Please telephone in advance of shipment to book this service and ensure returned repair is clearly marked "48 hour Service Requested."

COVER LETTER FOR REPAIRS
Please enclose a legible note explaining the specific nature of the problem or service request. The more information we have, the better able we are to service your equipment properly. This note should be included with the equipment being sent for repair. All repairs must be shipped prepaid to Manfrotto Distribution Service Department.

To expedite the repair, please include the following statement in letter: Pre-approved for up to $___________.
(Make sure to allow for shipping and tax [where applicable: CA, NJ, NY]).

For fastest turnaround include your credit card# (Amex, Visa, Mastercard) with expiration date.

PAYMENTS & TERMS
PRICES AND TERMS OF PAYMENT: The prices shown in this schedule are subject to change without notice. All repair charges are payable via credit card (Amex, Visa, Mastercard).

TAXES: Please note that sales tax is not included in the prices shown but are added to our invoice where applicable.

REPAIR WARRANTY: Equipment repaired by Manfrotto Distribution Inc. is warranted for a period of three months from the date of repair, or for the balance of the new equipment warranty, whichever is longer.

If the repaired equipment fails to function within the warranty period, Manfrotto Distribution Inc. will repair the equipment at no charge unless the malfunction is caused by misuse or other circumstances beyond our control

Manfrotto Distribution Inc. makes no other warranty for the repairs performed. We will not be responsible for loss or consequential damages resulting from the use of repaired equipment, even if loss or damages is caused by the negligence or fault of Manfrotto Distribution Inc.

UNAPPROVED ESTIMATES
In the event that a repair estimate is not approved by the customer within 90 days or we do not hear from the customers within 90 days, the goods will be disposed of.

WHERE TO SEND REPAIRS
All repairs must be sent to us prepaid. Equipment, which is repaired under warranty without charge, will be returned with normal transportation charges prepaid by Manfrotto Distribution Inc.

Unfortunately, Manfrotto Distribution can not be held responsible for items lost in transit to or from our service facility. That responsibility lies in the hands of the shipper. Manfrotto Distribution strongly recommends that any shipments be sent with a carrier that provides a tracking number, such as UPS or FedEx, or that they at least be sent insured from the carrier.

PACKAGING: Equipment should be placed in a sturdy carton allowing for at least three inches of packing material on all sides. Damage caused by improper packing is the responsibility of the sender. Please include cover letter with details.
